The Home Park Stadium ABBA and Queen concert double-header has been rearranged for 4 June, 2021, and 5 June, 2021, respectively.
The events team at the Theatre of Greens have taken the difficult decision to postpone until next summer due to current circumstances, with the club focused on ensuring that performers and guests alike can enjoy the concerts as safely and securely as possible.
The measures taken for the concerts will ensure that guests can attend the event while complying with government guidelines. As with all events taking place at Home Park Stadium since lockdown, additional hygiene measures have been implemented, as well as temperature checks on arrival.
Social distancing will be in operation if required as both tiers of the Mayflower Grandstand will be open.
It is not the first time the highly-successful ABBA and Queen tribute nights have taken place at Home Park Stadium, with the popular Stars of the West End and ‘An Evening of Queen’ events selling over 2000 tickets each.
Ticket prices start as low as £15 for a seat in the Mayflower Upper, and £25 for the lower enclosure. If guests would like to sample a hospitality experience at Home Park Stadium, they can purchase a hospitality ticket at £50 which includes premium seating, Club Argyle lounge access, a glass of bubbly on arrival, and a two-course meal.
All hospitality event ticket purchases for the postponed ABBA date have been allocated the hospitality package outlined above.
Head of Conferencing and Events, Christian Kent, said: “It was very disappointing to see our summer schedule of concerts postponed due to coronavirus, but we are delighted to have been able to announce new dates for our ABBA and Queen events in a COVID-secure setting.
“These concerts have proven to be extremely popular with the people of Plymouth, and we are extremely excited to finally get the opportunity to show off our brilliant new Mayflower Grandstand facilities in a live music setting.”
If guests hold a ticket for the previous date of the ABBA concert, they will remain valid for next summer. In addition, new tickets can be purchased through the Home Park Ticket Office on 01752 907700, or by visiting argyletickets.com
