Buddy Holly and The Beatles
Home Park Stadium and PG Promotions will host a night of classic rock with our tribute to rock & roll legend Buddy Holly, and the ‘Greatest Band of All-Time’, the Beatles, on Friday, 24 November.
Buddy Holly rose to fame in the 1950s as a central figure in the American rock & roll scene with worldwide hits including; That’ll Be The Day , Rave On and Peggy Sue. Holly, who was tragically killed in a plane crash in 1959 at the age of 22, was among the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 1986 and was a major influence on later popular music artists, including Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Elton John and many more.
The Beatles were formed in 1960 in Liverpool and went on to become worldwide superstars after successfully conquering America. Comprising John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, The Beatles are considered the most influential band of all time and were pioneers in recording, songwriting and artistic presentation.
