What’s On at Home Park Stadium
Whether you’re looking for a unique dining destination, or some of the best evening entertainment Plymouth has to offer, Home Park Stadium is hosting something for everyone this autumn.
Former WBC boxing heavyweight champion Frank Bruno headlines a tremendous range of events occurring here in the coming weeks, with a limited number of tickets remaining for an evening with the popular competitor, featuring a two-couse meal.
Football fans, particularly those of an Argyle persuasion, are invited to take a walk down memory lane during October and November, with some of the most famous names in Home Park history returning to the Theatre of Greens for spectacular one-off events.
In partnership with Argyle Legends, Home Park Stadium plays host to the Wembley winning heroes of 1996 for a nostalgic reunion dinner on the evening of Friday, 8 October – although places are now extremely limited for this event.
Later in the month, Argyle Legends return to the Theatre of Greens to pay homage to one of the all-time Pilgrim greats, Paul Mariner, on the weekend that two of his former clubs meet for Sky Bet League One action.
On Sunday, 31 October – the day after two of the legendary striker’s former sides, Argyle and Ipswich Town, meet – special guests and former teammates will return to the Theatre of Greens to share fond memories of one of the Pilgrims’ greatest ever players.
The former England forward, who also had a spell at Arsenal, sadly passed away earlier this year, and the event will see funds raised for charity.
Completing the trio of top-class events for football fans, England’s most capped international player, Peter Shilton, will return to Home Park Stadium as part of his introspective and enlightening speaking tour.
The world-class goalkeeper, who also enjoyed a spell as player-manager of Argyle in the early 90s, has recently authored a book detailing his struggle with gambling, and he is hitting the road for a series of events to share his story, participate in open question-and-answer sessions, and pose for photographs.
The evening includes a delicious two-course meal.
Home Park Stadium is more than just a football venue, though, and some of the world’s leading tribute acts are heading to Plymouth to strut their stuff.
Tickets are now on sale for Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton tribute nights – but if the sold-out Whitney Houston Experience on 12 November is anything to go by, guests are advised to book their ticket before they’re all gone.
