Christmas Carols and Open Home Park 2025

Christmas Carols 2025

Our popular annual Christmas Carol service will return this year and take place at Home Park on Thursday, 4 December, with a new event named 'Open Home Park' happening on the same day before the carol service.

The carol service and Open Home Park are part of a series of community-focused events, aiming to bring people together this Christmas period.

From 5pm, we will open our doors to anyone who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation during the Christmas period. The club will extend the warmth, comfort, and sense of belonging found at The Theatre of Greens to everyone in our community.

A host of familiar faces and club staff will have warm drinks, hot pasties, mince pies and biscuits, alongside quizzes, tabletop games and Christmas cheer for visitors to help combat the harmful impacts of social isolation over Christmas.

Everyone is welcome to join us in The View from 5pm to 6.15pm, no booking required.

Guests are then invited and encouraged to attend the Christmas Carol Concert that takes place immediately after in the St Lukes Hospice Lyndhurst Road Stand.

Thank you to Bidfood and Ginsters for their support with our Open Home Park. Bidfood and Ginsters are long term partners of the club, with Ginsters as principal partners of Project 35.

Open Home Park

The Christmas Carol Concert is free to attend, and doors will open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Entrance to the event will be through Exit Gate 8.

Our Club Chaplain, Arthur Goode, will lead a service including readings from a wide range of Club representatives. Meanwhile, carols will be accompanied by the Plymouth City Brass Academy Band and choirs from several local schools: Bickleigh Down Primary School, Laira Green Primary School, Mayflower Community Academy, Stoke Damerel Primary School and Widey Court Primary School.

Pilgrim Pete and Father Christmas will be making special appearances throughout the festivities, while refreshments, mince pies, Christmas pasties, and more, will be available to purchase from food kiosks.

Additionally, our pop-up retail unit will be open outside the entrance to the Babcock Devonport End with festive products and other products to help you wrap up warm.

Whilst everyone and all ages are welcome, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
PLEASE NOTE: The supervision of children remains the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

Although the carol service is free entry, we will be holding a bucket collection for Project 35 and welcome any donations towards our community social impact project in partnership with Ginsters.

We will be providing British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation at the Christmas Carols event. If you require any access or additional support for this event, please contact accessibility@pafc.co.uk
