A packed programme of music festivals and live entertainment is coming to Plymouth this summer, as Home Park prepares to host a diverse series of events at Home Park, home of Plymouth Argyle Football Club

Running from May through to July, the programme will see the outdoor space transformed into a vibrant event venue welcoming thousands of visitors for a mix of music festivals, dance events and family entertainment. Organisers expect the programme to attract several thousand visitors across the summer months.

The series begins in May with R&B Mania, a celebration of 90s and 00s R&B, followed by Girly Pop Live, a colourful family-friendly pop party featuring tribute performances to artists including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.

On Sunday, 24 May is a big day of family fun at Home Park with the Forever Green vs Team Harvey charity match. Alongside this there are plenty of activities for the children and live music. This also is Plymouth Argyle’s home kit launch and will be the first chance for fans, who come to the event, to see and buy the new seasons kit.

In June, dance music fans can look forward to Clubland Live, bringing well-known acts including Ben Nicky, DJ Sammy, Ultrabeat and Flip n Fill to the stadium for a large-scale outdoor event.

July continues the programme with Groovebox Open Air, an electronic music showcase headlined by Riordan Locky, alongside K-Pop Live, an energetic celebration of K-Pop culture featuring live performers and high-energy choreography.

The summer series also includes Rum & Reggae Day Festival, featuring live reggae performances alongside Caribbean-inspired food and cocktails. The event will showcase Plymouth’s own Vault 53 rum, with the local distillery partnering with organisers to provide the base spirit for cocktails across the event, while restaurant chain Turtle Bay will also be involved in bringing Caribbean flavours to the festival experience.

The programme concludes with This Ain’t Texas Festival, a country music celebration featuring Americana-inspired festival vibes, country anthems and street food.

All events, except the Forever Green vs Team Harvey game which will be on the pitch, are held in the Home Park Biffa Fan Zone. This has capacity for more than 2,000 people and is increasingly being developed as an outdoor event space capable of hosting a wide range of medium-sized shows and touring events.

Michelle Rysdale, Concerts and Large Events Manager at Plymouth Argyle, said:

“We’re really excited to welcome such a diverse programme of events to Home Park this summer. The Fan Zone is a fantastic space and gives us the opportunity to host events of a scale that hasn’t always been possible in Plymouth.

“As a city we’re seeing more demand for live events and festivals, and spaces like this help promoters bring new shows to Plymouth that might otherwise bypass the region.

“It also feels particularly exciting at a time when Plymouth is bidding to become UK City of Culture. Live events are a huge part of a city’s cultural identity and we’re proud to be playing a role in bringing more experiences like this to the city.”

All events will take place at Home Park between May and July, with tickets available via individual event organisers.
